Galvanized tub garden
Start with an empty galvanized tub.
If it's a larger tub, use a drill to make holes in the bottom or on the sides.
Add a 2 inch thick layer of rocks for drainage, or drill holes in the bottom.
Add a thin layer of dirt.
Place your plants in the garden. This helps you visualize your space.
Here's an example of a smaller garden. Don't overplant it, the flowers will grow throughout the season.
A vegetable garden this small only has room for two plants. Here we planted tomatoes and basil - they go so well together.
Add filler soil around the plants making sure they are far enough apart to allow for growth.
Water. Make sure to get them plenty wet for to allow the soil to settle. You can fill in any lower spots if you need to.
Done!
To add a sprinkler to your garden, find a main line and puncture a hole.
Attach a connector and tubing. Make sure they are both secure.
Attach a sprinkler head like this and make sure the flow is not too much.
