Adult Dog & Puppy Vaccines

 

Horse N Hound offers Solo- Jec 5 and Solo-Jec 9 vaccines for dogs. Solo-Jec 5 is a vaccine for Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 1 (Hepatitis), Adenovirus Type 2 (Tracheobronchitis), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus (Parvo). Solo-Jec 9 covers the same as Solo-Jec 5 as well as Leptospira canicola, Leptospira grippotyphosa, Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae and Leptospira pomona.

 

Solo-Jec 5 costs $7.50 and Solo-Jec 9 costs $9.99. For a pup who hasn't received any shots, it'll cost $27.48 plus tax. Vaccines need to stay cold until they are administered. Please make Horse N Hound your last stop before going home to ensure a safe & effective vaccination for your pets.

 

If your dog has symptoms of Parvo - vomiting blood or blood in their stool - do not attempt to give them a vaccine. Consult a vet immediately.

 

Puppies: Vaccines should be given at 6 weeks of age. Start with the Solo-Jec 5. Three weeks later, administer the Solo-Jec 9 and then three weeks later, give the second Solo-Jec 9 shot. Your dog will receive a total of 3 shots which cover the first year of their life. These shots do not protect your dog from Rabies - only a vet can give those. Adult dogs: We recommend that you update your dog's vaccines with a Solo-Jec 9 booster each year.

Cat Vaccines

 

Solo- Jec Feline 3 vaccinates for Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia. Give your first shot at 8 weeks of age, then repeat in 3-4 weeks. The shot costs $6.99.
