1st Chicks of the Season

The Horse N Hound brooder has new residents! The first chicks of the season have arrived to the store, so come on in and get them. We've got Americanas, Barred Rocks, and Rhode Island Reds. More will be arriving throughout the season as we prepare for the annual Chick Days on April 13-15, 2017.

Keeping a backyard flock is a fantastic way to raise organic eggs. Keep in mind, the City of Las Cruces ordinances allow for keeping up to 6 backyard chickens or ducks with a permit. The permit cost $15 per year with a $10 application fee. If you have questions or need a permit, call Las Cruces Animal Control at (575) 528-4100.
